What is a JumJums MCN and how does it work?
A JumJums MCN (Modern Cloth Nappy) is a pocket style nappy that has a PUL or Minky waterproof outer layer sewn together with a soft fleece inner layer. The 3-layer ultra-absorbent microfibre insert soaks up any wetness to keep baby dry. Simply place the insert into the pocket of the nappy and you’re ready to go!

How long will my nappies last?
Exactly how long the nappies last will depend on several variables such as the water in your area, the type of washing powder/liquid you use, how many nappies you have in your rotation, and the type of washing machine. If cared for as per our care instructions, the nappies should last from birth until toilet training and beyond. However, we do not guaranteed this as every baby and every situation is different.

At JumJums we are committed to ensuring you are happy with your purchase. If you should experience any issues or faults with the product or you feel that it is not suitable for your baby, please contact us to discuss an exchange, refund or credit. Is there a warranty on the nappies?
JumJums nappies come with warranty for 1 year from date of purchase which covers stitching and or other similar issues related to manufacturing faults and providing all washing and care instructions have been followed as recommended. This warranty does not cover normal everyday wear and tear of the nappies, fading or leaking issues. Use of bleach, whiteners, laundry additives, fabric softeners or washing powders with enzymes will void this warranty. Warranty applies to the original purchaser only and for orders purchased directly through JumJums.
How do I wash my nappies?
Don’t worry cloth nappies have come a long way, there’s no folding, pins or soaking needed! Simply dispose of any solids in the toilet and put dirty nappies in a bucket until wash day (no need to soak!). When you go to wash your nappies simply take out the absorbent insert and wash together with the nappy in cold water with a gentle detergent such as Earth Choice (the less additives to clog up the nappy the better).
Dry your JumJums in the sun as it will naturally bleach your nappies and keep them looking brand new. If needed in wet weather – the inserts (ONLY) can be dried in the dryer on a LOW heat. The outer shells will dry quickly on any air dryer/hanger.
What is a "strip wash"?
If your nappies are starting to smell when your baby does a wee or are only lasting a short time before leaking, it may be time to do a strip wash. Strip washing can be done in a few different ways but the idea is to clean out any built up detergents or nappy rash creams etc to restore the absorbency and remove any lingering smells. To find out how to do a strip wash read our instructions here.
Do you have swimming nappies?
JumJums MCN's can easily be converted into a swim nappy by simply removing the microfibre insert!
How do I store the nappies when out and about?
When out and about simply use our wetbags to transport wet or soiled nappies until you get home.
How often do I need to change my baby's nappy?
We recommend changing your baby roughly every 3 hours during the day. If the nappy has been soiled you should change the nappy straight away. Overnight, we suggest a Bamboo Insert in the nappy to for extra absorption through the night.
